Vitara Hot Yoga holds its official grand opening, one year after taking over a former Seabrook studio

Owner Novita Soper waited until the renovation was finished and the community had settled before inviting three chambers from two states to cut the ribbon.

SEABROOK, NH, UNITED STATES, November 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- SEABROOK, N.H. — Vitara Hot Yoga will hold its official grand opening and three-chamber ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2026, at 270 Lafayette Road, Unit 12, Seabrook, one year after owner Novita Soper took over The Hot Yoga Studio and began rebuilding it as Vitara.

Participating chambers are the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth, Hampton Area Chamber of Commerce and Greater Newburyport Chamber of Commerce & Industry, bringing together business communities from New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The event is free and open to everyone.

Soper began practicing hot yoga in New Hampshire in 2017 after moving from Indonesia. She says its physical and mental benefits inspired her to share the practice with others.

Soper saw taking ownership as a way to preserve the relationships students and teachers had built and help the community move forward. She left her corporate career and signed the purchase-and-sale agreement during her Baptiste Level 2 yoga teacher training in Iceland.

Following a difficult ownership transition, Soper began renovating the studio without closing it. She said the work also involved addressing divisions, rebuilding trust and creating a culture where teachers and students felt heard, respected and supported.

“This community means so much to me. I wanted everyone here to feel cared for and know they belong,” Soper said.

Renovations have included new flooring, two showers, new equipment and two large murals. Soper also welcomed local teachers, expanded class choices, adjusted heat settings and strengthened cleaning routines.

That commitment to care also extends beyond the studio. Soper reports approximately $3,500 in combined charitable support for local causes and children’s education in Indonesia.

Locally, Vitara hosted “Free Yoga for a Day” to raise mental health awareness and funds for NAMI-NH. Five Root & Rise classes have also given developing teachers an opportunity to lead community practice while raising funds for Yoga in Action through suggested $10 donations.

Globally, Vitara helps support schooling for 29 children at three schools in Sidoarjo, Indonesia, including Soper’s former kindergarten and elementary schools. Its Founder’s Circle annual membership program donates $99 from each membership toward a child’s school tuition.

Vitara incorporates red and green light therapy into every class. Through its partnership with Agile Telehealth, the studio also connects clients with optional online wellness consultations provided by licensed clinicians.

Vitara also brings its identity to life through music. “Vitara’s Theme,” released on Spotify in March 2026 under the artist name Vitara Yoga, was created to reflect the rhythm, energy and emotional atmosphere of the practice while celebrating Seabrook, New Hampshire.
